Pumpkin Latte

Runtime: 34 minutes

In this lesson, you’ll create a cozy Pumpkin Latte watercolor sketch, perfect for the autumn season. You’ll practice combining ink and watercolor, adding soft shadows and highlights, and using warm seasonal colors to make the drink feel dimensional and inviting. Along the way, you’ll also add small decorative details such as pumpkins and whipped cream to bring the whole sketch together.

Runtime: 35 minutes

In this lesson, you’ll paint a warm autumn sketch of acorns with an oak leaf. You’ll practice creating natural textures with watercolor, blending rich seasonal shades, and adding light and shadow to give the acorns more volume. You’ll also use loose ink outlines and small details to make the sketch expressive while keeping the process simple and beginner-friendly.

Runtime: 44 minutes

In this lesson, you’ll create a cozy autumn doorway surrounded by colorful foliage. You’ll practice building a simple architectural sketch, adding brick and door details, and using warm watercolor washes to create rich seasonal color. You’ll also learn how to combine loose ink lines with layered watercolor to give the scene more depth, texture, and character.

Umbrella with Leaves

Runtime: 1 hour 58 minutes

In this recorded live session, you’ll create a playful autumn sketch of an umbrella filled with colorful falling leaves. You’ll practice drawing simple shapes, combining loose ink lines with watercolor, and using transparent washes to create depth and movement. At the end of the session, Anastasia will also introduce the Sketching Start course and explain how you can continue learning watercolor sketching step by step.

I've always dreamed of learning to draw, but it never seemed to work out. This year, at the age of 73, I finally decided to fulfill my dream. I really enjoy drawing, especially with watercolors.
